some house rules...
While we are so excited for you to come and stay with us, we do need a share a few house rules aimed as ensuring that everyone have a wonderful stay while at Balanza Vineyard.
making a reservation
We have a two night minimum for our all of our reservations and our rooms may not be occupied by more than two persons. Depending on the availability of the room selected, a reservation can be secured with a $50 non-refundable deposit using a credit card (retained on file) and completion of our guest registry information request. The remainder the room fee will be collected a full three weeks prior to the start of the reserved guest stay from the credit card on file. We use the Square payment platform and invoices to collect all room fees.
Canceling a reservation
Any guest stay maybe cancelled up to three weeks prior to the start of the reserved guest stay with the $50 deposit forfeited. Reservations that are cancelled after the three week window prior to the scheduled guest stay and after the full room fee has been collected, will be refunded (less deposit) only if the room can be rebooked and only for the days the room has been rebooked. Reservations are non transferrable.
Arriving, Departing, and Eating
Guest check-in is between 4-6pm on the day of arrival.
Guest check-out is no later than 11:30 am on the day of departure.
Breakfast: For early risers, baked goods, coffee and yogurt are available from 8am in the breakfast room. Hand-crafted hot breakfast entrees will be served in the breakfast room from 9am to 10:30 am daily. The selections will vary from day-to-day and we will try to work with your dietary needs. If you have a special requests regarding dietary needs or allergies please make sure you tell us when reserving your room.
Snacks: We know you get hungry. The guest lounge is open all day long and is stocked with a limited selection of snacks and beverages.
In keeping with our focus on working towards sustainability, we are a 100% non-smoking and non-vaping property. We make no exceptions to this policy - other than our occasional attempt at smoking some good ole Texas BBQ down in our BBQ barn.
we are non-smokers
We love kids (we have two) but unfortunately at this time we cannot accept reservations with children under 12. For reservations with children over 12, our room occupancy is limited to two persons per room and we require an adult (person over 21 years of age) to be present in each room. In the future, we hope to be able to offer a stand alone guest house with up to four person occupancy that can better accommodate guests with children.
We also love pets but sadly we cannot accept additional pets onto our property. We have do have a staff of lovely pets available for snuggling: Ginger and Chloe (our English and Irish Setters) and Evita and Juancito (our vineyard cats). Our dogs reside in our private resident quarters and are not generally allowed in the community spaces or guest rooms. Our kittens (adorable as they are) are outside cats but sometime are found lounging on the patios and decks.
We also can recommend the Tail Wag Inn boarding facility for your traveling pets. The Tail Wag Inn is located very close to our property.
